IN this time, Diego Luister Berel’s visual art works without limits, this time he presents painting in an exclusive suitcase with a ‘funky’ style and cheerful color. WISMA CHESHIRE ASIA-PACIFIC MEETING

DIEGO, who represented Daya Pelita Kasih School for solo exhibition at the 2016 Biennial General Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Council of Cheshire Homes painting exhibition in Grandkemang Hotel, South Jakarta. In this event he exhibited several of paintings and his painting has been sold at this event. Shown in the picture, Diego is taking a photo with his new friends from the Wisma Cheshire at the closing day of the exhibition.

THE FIRST PRIZE ON DISABILITY DAY PAINTING CONTEST

DIEGO Luister Berel has won first prize in the SMPLB-SMALB Level in the 2017 International Disability Day Painting Contest organized by the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia at Taman Mini Mall, East Jakarta.

Diego, who attends at Daya Pelita Kasih Center, a school with special needs in the South Jakarta area, can be used as a model in achieving his best achievements to win first prize.

CHARITY & SOTHEBY’S JAKARTA AUCTION EVENT

DIEGO also enlivened the Charity & Auction Indonesia’s Trade Ministry, Jakarta painting exhibition (2015), the auction was conducted by Sotheby’s Jakarta at the Indonesia Peduli Anak charity event at Auditorium of Trade Ministry, Central Jakarta. One of his paintings was auctioned by Sotheby’s and the proceeds went to several elementary schools in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.

ARTOTEL THE GIFTED ONES EXHIBITION

IN the context of World Autism Day 2018 which falls on April 2, ARTOTEL Thamrin, Jakarta held “The Gifted Ones” Art Exhibition at ARTSPACE, M Level ARTOTEL Thamrin, Jakarta. The series of social activities titled the art exhibition showcased paintings by 11 children with autism aged 15 years to 20 years. Some of the works include Bima Ariasena Adisoma, Diego Luister Berel, Indhy Mutiarahmah, Muhadana Trayusa, Daya Olivia Korompis, Fero Adhi Mada Sardjono, Jane Gabriella.

This exhibition of paintings is sold to the public on a silent auction system. Besides the exhibition of works of art, a series of activities was also filled with workshops.

SHARING FOR LOVE FUNDRAISING CONCERT 2019

YAYASAN Musik Sastra Indonesia held the ‘Sharing For Love Fundraising Concert 2019’ at the Cyber Building Auditorium, a concert featuring Ananda Sukarlan, a composer and pianist who is also a person with Asperger syndrome, deliberately inviting four special needs children to exhibit their paintings at the concert and among of them was Diego Luister Berel.

Diego who participated in this event exhibited two of his paintings to be auctioned and sold on this exclusive event.

DIEGO AT UOB PAINTING OF THE YEAR 2019

BANK UOB Indonesia held a 2019 UOB Painting of the Year (POY) competition and an art discussion at the National Museum of Indonesia, in Jakarta recently. Both events are intended to be able to inspire young Indonesian artists who are developing careers in the arts.

The launch of the UOB POY 2019 event was attended by various community groups and art students. The winner won a cash prize of IDR250 million and had the opportunity to compete with other winners from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand to win the UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year award. Diego attended and participated in the event.

PRESENTS AT THE FRANCAIS D’INDONESIEN INSTITUTE EXHIBITION

EXHIBITION of special needs youth paintings held at the Institut Français d’Indonesien, Jalan Wijaya 1 no: 48, South Jakarta. This talented youth exhibition with passion and perseverance is an inspiration for us all. This Special Paintings exhibition 2019 event was also held Talk shows, Playing in French, Painting Activity, Gala Dinner, Painting Auction and Donation.

Diego Luister Berel along with eight other painters, Seto Yudonoto Purnomo, Fero Adhi Mada Jane Gabriella, Mahadana Trayusa, Aurelie Sariputri Wirananda, Indhy Mutiarahmah and Banu Gunottama participated in a painting exhibition at the FRANÇAIS Indonesia (IFI) INST on 21 October-3 November 2019.

’25 MAGIC’ SPECIAL NEEDS PAINTING EXHIBITION

IN connection with the commemoration of National Children’s Day and the 25th Anniversary of Accor International, the Pullman Thamrin Hotel Jakarta held an exhibition of special needs youth paintings with the theme “25 Magic” from 23 July to 30 July 2018.

The current painting exhibition includes 12 teenage school students with special needs, Diego Luister Berel displays two paintings, ‘Somewhere in Someplace’ and ‘Seaview in East Island,’ because his artwork deserves to be appreciated as a work with expression. Diego’s paintings have exhibited since 2012, until now in various places. His paintings have been collected by many connoisseurs from home and abroad, including Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and various other places. Besides that included in the finalists in various painting competitions.

ALILA SEMINYAK BALI PAINTING EXHIBITION & AUCTION

FOR the first time the paintings of students with special needs were exhibited at ALILA Hotel Seminyak, Bali. The exhibition was also held to welcome the anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as a social program hotel about caring for the people of Bali for children with special needs.

Diego Luister Berel who enlivened the exhibition with the theme ‘Looking Beyond Disabilities, Focusing on Capabilities & Expanding Possibilities’ which presented 25 paintings from 11 painters. The exhibition of expressive paintings is divided into two themes, namely abstract and natural diversity (realism). At the end of the exhibition, 19 paintings were sold through the silent auction including Diego’s painting, which was held from the beginning to the closing of the exhibition (August 23-28, 2017).
