THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT WITH KARTIKA AFFANDI

IN commemoration of World Down Syndrome Day in 2019, attended by Kartika Affandi is an Indonesian female painter. Her father is a prominent painter, Affandi. At present, Kartika also established a museum named Omahe Kartika in Pakem, Sleman, Yogyakarta. In addition to displaying her works, the museum which is integrated with Kartika’s residence is also intended for female artists.

’25 MAGIC’ SPECIAL NEEDS PAINTING EXHIBITION

IN connection with the commemoration of National Children’s Day and the 25th Anniversary of Accor International, the Pullman Thamrin Hotel Jakarta held an exhibition of special needs youth paintings with the theme “25 Magic” from 23 July to 30 July 2018.

The current painting exhibition includes 12 teenage school students with special needs, Diego Luister Berel displays two paintings, ‘Somewhere in Someplace’ and ‘Seaview in East Island,’ because his artwork deserves to be appreciated as a work with expression. Diego’s paintings have exhibited since 2012, until now in various places. His paintings have been collected by many connoisseurs from home and abroad, including Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and various other places. Besides that included in the finalists in various painting competitions.

ALILA SEMINYAK BALI PAINTING EXHIBITION & AUCTION

FOR the first time the paintings of students with special needs were exhibited at ALILA Hotel Seminyak, Bali. The exhibition was also held to welcome the anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as a social program hotel about caring for the people of Bali for children with special needs.

Diego Luister Berel who enlivened the exhibition with the theme ‘Looking Beyond Disabilities, Focusing on Capabilities & Expanding Possibilities’ which presented 25 paintings from 11 painters. The exhibition of expressive paintings is divided into two themes, namely abstract and natural diversity (realism). At the end of the exhibition, 19 paintings were sold through the silent auction including Diego’s painting, which was held from the beginning to the closing of the exhibition (August 23-28, 2017).

HEART FOR AUTISM CHARITY ART EXHIBITION

SUNRISE Gallery and London School Center for Autism Awareness (LSCAA) held a group charity art exhibition with the theme ‘Heart for Autism at Sunrise Gallery, Fairmont Hotel, Level 2. The exhibition is held for the public starting from 2-28 August, 2019.

Diego Luister Berel joined in this exhibit art-valued paintings and the sale of paintings activity given to donated to the Rumah Autis which handles autistic and special needs children from underprivileged families. He was in one group of Charity Art Exhibition ‘Heart for Autism’ is packaged as an exhibition of 33 paintings by the hand scratches of children with special needs. Artwork painted on canvas has artistic value as an expression of heart’s content, as a way of their communicating.

DIEGO JOINS FUNDRAISING HEART FOR AUTISM CHARITY NIGHT

THE London School Center for Autism Awareness (LSCAA) together with the National Brain Central Hospital (Rumah Sakit Pusat Otak Nasional) and LSPR Jakarta held a fundraising entitled ‘Heart for Autism Charity Night’ for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in Jakarta, Friday (22/3/2019).

This fundraising event was donated to Rumah Autis (Autistic Home). In this painting auction, one of which was Diego Luister Berel’s painting entitled ‘The Gethsemane Garden’ has been sold with a fantastic value of IDR8 million. In this exhibition and auction event, Diego displayed two paintings with his school friends.

POSED WITH MADELINE STUART

DIEGO Berel was celebrating World Down Syndrome Day in 2019, which falls every March 21st. He also took a picture with Madeline Stuart, a Down Syndrome sufferer who is famous as a professional model from Australia. He also did not waste his opportunity to take pictures with the 22-year model who already has many fans.
