Waves in the Fierce Sea
The waves around the Fierce sea are towering, indicating a storm is coming. This Diego’s work was inspired by after he saw a movie on TV about fishermen against the ferocity of the ocean. Diego’s painting depict colorful human life and aesthetic nature, Characteristic of all his paintings are the various colors, which he creates using the classic palette knife. He continues to explore and experiment the beauty of contemporary art.

A Duck in The River
Diego who likes to explore in pouring a work of his paintings, Here he was inspired when he saw a program on TV about ducks swimming in murky river water in a village in Central Java. In this painting, Diego translates a red and yellow duck swimming in murky river water with black color. There is a pull of a line that uses the strength of his pallet knife that is swept as the release of the emotion that is ventilated on the canvas.

The Sunshine on Colored Lake Kelimutu
With the inspiration Diego got through visual images on the computer, Diego here tries to paint a art work on a large and wide painting canvas imagining the scorching sun shining on the colored Lake Kelimutu in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara is dominated by red colors. He is very fond of natural depictions which create a lot of inspiration that he wants to pour on the canvas.

The Mask of Roman Empire
In this painting, Diego tries to paint a art work with a different technique, usually he uses his pallet knife, but this time he uses small and medium brushes. He really likes to explore with different techniques, Diego paints by taking a variety of colors so he named this painting with the “Mask of the Roman Empire” which he translated as an expression as a force against the COVID-19 pandemic as strong as the army of the Roman Empire.

United Colors

He really likes to explore with different techniques, Diego paints by taking various colors so he named his painting “United Colors” which he translated as an expression as diversity in unity.

The Hope of The Cross of Christ
Diego is able to pour his imagination into canvas very well. The color choices of the cross theme colors among the uncertain world condition seem to be able to be translated and realized in the form of paintings. The main object of the light brown the cross of Christ is realized perfectly. Diego’s painting is an abstract with stokes and scratches as if looking in the same direction, but capable of displaying beautiful painting.

Gods of the Winds
Diego is very expressive in portraying his imagination when he sees the storm on TV. But what is interesting is in the right part of his painting, where the imagination is seen of the gods of the winds blowing with strong winds in all directions and with a thick sweep forming strong a black & blue winds at in dusk making a dark storm.

A Gorgeous Tough Woman
Here Diego tries to paint the double faces of beautiful woman who are persistent and tough in a dominant color of red and a little dark green on top. Diego expressively describes his imagination on double faces of this “virtual woman” at one special place which he puts his imagination directly onto the canvas. Diego’s palette strokes are clearly visible here in a different style from the paintings that he had made.

The Way of Peace II
Abstract impressive, this is the uniqueness of Diego’s paintings. These object is placed wherever it must be. Here Diego tries to use bright colors that look a little bit ‘funky’ than any of the paintings he’s ever drawn. Here, Diego tries to translate being religious, are not stiff necessarily in the current conditions such as in this pandemic era.

I’m Grateful
In this life there are a lot of colors near us. Those colors varies. There are the colors of happiness, sadness, fear, anger, disappointment, and hope. All those colors always change coloring our lives. Here Diego was able to pour his imagination into canvas very well. Exactly like the theme of his painting, the choice of the color of it’s means that he is very much indeed to grateful what’s the God giving us in this beautiful life to all of us.
