DIEGO recently had a painting exhibition at ArtSphere Gallery with the theme Beyond Boundaries a Canvas of infinite Abilities tries to provide space for two talented artists with down syndrome and autism disabilities presented by Diego Luister Berel and Tengku Omar Athallah.
THROUGH paintings of the universe covered with soft colors and many fantastic creatures, Diego believes in a universe that is interconnected between nature, animals, machines and humans. Here he tries to depict society through various idioms and metaphors, thus presenting the universe as an artistic reflection of all existence.

NOT only he did exhibit his paintings which initiated by MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy and ArtSphere Gallery with the theme “Beyond Boundaries,” Diego also took part in the Less Is More D.I.Y Art Workshop with Safrie Effendi on April 6, 2024 at ArtSphere Gallery at Dharmawangsa Square.
“BEYOND Boundaries” these two painters (Diego Luister Berel and Tengku Omar Athallah) were dared to show their love for the art of painting and painting is a fun time and a time to express love for a hobby that can produce works of art that can make people who see it happy.
THE PAINTING exhibition initiated by MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy and ArtSphere Gallery with the theme “Beyond Boundaries” a Canvas of infinite Abilities tries to provide space for two talented artists with down syndrome and autism disabilities presented by Diego Luister Berel and Tengku Omar Athallah. The exhibition was also held to commemorate World Down Syndrome Day (21 March) and Autism Day (2 April) at ArtSphere Gallery, Dharmawangsa Square Level 2, South Jakarta which will take place from 28 March to 8 April 2024.
AT the recent’ program of the American Club and MATALESOGE Special Needs Center collaborates to have a program “The Gifted One, the World Disability Day”, this art exhibition with the artists; Diego Luister Berel, Tengku Omar Athalla, Amanda Shafira, M. Gihfran Baihaqi, on view from December 1st-14th, 2023 at The American Club corridors. It’s the day we celebrate the inclusivity on today’s society by the art form. Seen at picture Diego posed in front of some of his paintings.
My Cross In The Storm
This painting, Diego was inspired by the film “The Passion of the Christ” by Mel Gibson (2004), He here tries to portray Jesus Christ, the savior of humanity, is betrayed by one of his disciples and captured by the Romans. Even during a torturous death, Jesus redeems souls and defeats Satan’s true purpose. This painting shows when Jesus Christ after being lowered from his cross.
