INDONESIA is home to a vast array of seaweed species, making it one of the most diverse marine biotas in the world. The diversity of seaweed species plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Diego created a painting inspired by a television program about seaweed growth. The vibrant colors and unique shapes caught his attention, prompting him to develop an intriguing visual representation.

THE painting of the wounded eagle served as the inspiration for Diego to create the piece. However, the continued existence of eagles is increasingly threatened by hunting. However, a further significant threat is the widespread hunting of eagles, which are then traded on the open market.

THE eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara has caused concern among the surrounding community. This prompted Diego to use painting as a means of expressing his feelings about the event, using bright colours to depict the volcanic eruption.

THE adventure of drawing a blooming hibiscus flower whose good intentions foe Diego begins to develop his artistic abilities. The idea of drawing a hibiscus flower in bloom made him curious until he found in bloom from browsing on his iPad and come up with an idea to paint the character of this blooming hibiscus flower in an abstract way.

DIEGO, tried to paint the Balinese Barong, which is considered sacred. Barong is a panther-like creature and character in the Balinese mythology of Bali. In this painting is a very simple neat painting and painted with bright colored acrylic. This painting is very expressive bright colors scratching as spills over combination colors in the background giving the impression that is both impressive and expressive.

DIEGO recently had a painting exhibition at ArtSphere Gallery with the theme Beyond Boundaries a Canvas of infinite Abilities tries to provide space for two talented artists with down syndrome and autism disabilities presented by Diego Luister Berel and Tengku Omar Athallah.
THROUGH paintings of the universe covered with soft colors and many fantastic creatures, Diego believes in a universe that is interconnected between nature, animals, machines and humans. Here he tries to depict society through various idioms and metaphors, thus presenting the universe as an artistic reflection of all existence.

NOT only he did exhibit his paintings which initiated by MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy and ArtSphere Gallery with the theme “Beyond Boundaries,” Diego also took part in the Less Is More D.I.Y Art Workshop with Safrie Effendi on April 6, 2024 at ArtSphere Gallery at Dharmawangsa Square.
“BEYOND Boundaries” these two painters (Diego Luister Berel and Tengku Omar Athallah) were dared to show their love for the art of painting and painting is a fun time and a time to express love for a hobby that can produce works of art that can make people who see it happy.
